BX Consultations was designed to support parents and caregivers of children with autism or related disabilities. Here at BX a roadmap is created for parents to have knowledge of the process of getting therapy for their children who have recently been diagnosed.

 

Bx also provides education on ABA strategies in an easy and applicable manner to enhance their overall treatment. Consultation services are also provided to ensure the overall quality of information families are receiving.

  • What is ABA therapy?
    ABA or Applied Behavior Analysis is an evidence-based treatment that has shown significant effectiveness in improving the lives of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities. It is backed by the US Surgeon General and by the American Psychological Association. ABA has scientific research to demonstrate its efficacy. Therapy is comprised of a therapist, a supervisor and behavior analyst working together to develop working together to develop a program to address goals and plans for more success.
  • Who is ABA therapy for?
    ABA strategies and techniques can be used with variety of individuals however there is scientifically proven research to be effective with children and adults with disabilities such as autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, ADHD, among other related disabilities.
  • How can I get my child to receive ABA therapy?
    Contacting your primary care physician and asking for a referral. For a detailed guide visit the Roadmap section of this site and also book an appointment for consultation if more information is requested.
  • Where can I learn more about ABA and its effective strategies?
    At BX, we aim to equip you with all the necessary information to implement strategies tailored to your child. We offer straightforward and easily understandable ABA resources. Sharing this knowledge is crucial to ensure that parents feel empowered to make informed decisions and either take charge themselves or seek guidance form a team. The choice depends on the family's specific requirements and the level of support needed by the children involved.
  • How long is ABA therapy needed?
    If ABA therapy is recommended by your clinical team the duration of your child receiving this is dependent on the individualized progress. If you are taking courses on this site for your desired path this can take as long as you wish to receive information or at your own pace based on your family's need. You can use these courses during the interim time before services as well to enhance your overall ABA therapy experience.
  • What BX course is right for me?
    Every course is designed for a different level and overall need. Each course has a description of what you will learn and what it focuses on. Email support@bxconsultations.com for a more detailed and tailored response or book a consultation with Melissa Mora a board certified behavior analyst.
  • What ABA company should I go with ?
    Your insurance provider has a list of ABA companies that you can join. The choice can be dependent on their availability of appropriate staff or other possible variables.
  • Where are ABA services provided?
    ABA therapy is typically provided within the home setting. Services can also be provided in the school setting or in the home of another consistent caregiver that your child is being cared for. During the assessment, this should be discussed to ensure the team knows what are the needs and goals that would benefit the child.
